Sorry for the title. But in the wake of the elections yesterday it's necessary to at least touch on how government works (or "doesn't work" if you're running for office).
Via CNN's Political Ticker via the LA Times:
This Link to a website that's meant to help you decide who to support in next year's Presidential elections.
So Osama Bin Laden mentioned he would like to see the end of capitalism (so a headline I read said). If capitalism is so bad, why won't he help the Afghani government "socialize" the sale of drugs... I mean, right now I imagine capitalism is driving prices. So Osama, you believe drugs are okay but capitalism is bad? *puh. (spit)*
What if the US becomes good friends with North Korea? It might be a nice strategic alliance to have should the world turn topsy turvy down the road. I base this on no research whatsoever, a Dime Brothers calling card.
Can a municipality tax stupid people through the roof in order to drive them out of town? The stupid people would have to be smart enough to know they're getting taxed at an overwhelming rate, and then move out of town because of it. But being smart enough to do that would mean they are smart enough to stay and avoid the tax....
I guess the end result would be throwing stupid people in prison for failure to pay taxes. At least then they'd be out of town... but states would have to increase taxes to pay for new prisons....
The US Senate stayed up all night last night. Want to bet on the reason?
I think the following speaks clearly for who I support in this race. This candidate would be the best for everybody.
DING DING DING!! Welcome to DimeBrothers Arena for this non-sanctioned, 15-round, no holds barred, fight to the finish!!! Actually, this article isn't as good as that.
World War III accidentally started when some Swiss soldiers got lost and accidentally invaded Liechtenstein.
This could be a Civics 101 article, except that I'm writing it, not Paul. (Consider this Civics 201... smack!) : ) Read on to learn a little about the Presidential race for 2008, and find links to learn more about everyone.
