My guess is that Word adds some funky tags that negates the embedding. It works in the comments because there's no funny business there. Just darn good web development! ; )
The problem with the embedding is that, because Word is a rich text editor, it translates characters such as > and " into their Markup Language equivalents of > and " respectively.
As a result, the web browser reads the code in Word's translation, which doesn't give the result we'd hope for. I don't know if there's a way around this or not. I'd have to look into Word's capabilities, and even then, I'd have to look into it for Word 2000 for those of us stuck in the dark ages (j/king).
Thanks Steve! At least I don't have problems falling asleep in the dark ages!! I don't know how all you enlightened people get to sleep at all, except with dark paint and curtains, and maybe a sleeping mask...
When your day comes, I suggest the mask. It works wonders, not to mention that you really get to feel like a rich old lady . . . even if it's just for 6 to 8 glorious hours!
