Opening day yesterday was postponed at Yankee Stadium... so it'll be the last opening day at Yankee Stadium again today. (If you're not aware, next season they'll be playing next door in their new stadium.) Why are games scheduled in the Northeast at all in the first two weeks of the season? Seems like every year the Yankees have 2 or 3 games postponed at the beginning of the year. Then in August when you're checking the standings, you're trying to remember why the Yankees are 1.5 games up on Boston but have 2 less wins (they've played 3 fewer games).
I might be exaggerating... but only a little.
